DOMINANT CULTURE
The essence of Dominant culture resides in a blend of network broadcasting coupled with personal testaments with regards to the movement Black Lives Matter. A large portion of popular culture’s understanding of these brutality events stems from an emphasis on how the media has shaped these events with an interest in the perpetuation of an Anglo-Western perspective. The critical race theory will also be explored here, with the understanding that racism is embedded in socio-cultural structures and institutionalized at the same time. Additionally, an examination of the reported statistics will be juxtaposed with information from social activism organizations under the basis that the personal is political.
